Official WATL Individual Hatchet League

Tuesday Night 7pm Start Time

8 weeks – Starting April 4th - May 23rd, 2023

$110 (tax included) per person – Payment is due by the first league session.

Each league session consists of 10 minutes of practice, four league matches. If you’re unable to attend a week, you can make up your matches the following week – max two weeks.

Members are scored individually. In the first seven weeks, members play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score to determine their ranking for the final tournament. On the eight week, members compete in a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner. See World Axe Throwing League (WATL) site for more details about the rules and standards. Subject to change based on WATL rules updates. We will use 4 targets for match play.

The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Adirondack Axe and get their name on the ADK AXE Lumberjack Wall!

Official WATL Individual Big Axe Marathon League

In the first seven weeks, league members play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score to determine their ranking for the final tournament. We will use 2 Targets for match play

Participants in the Big Axe League Should have prior axe throwing experience. All axes must be approved prior to starting league.

Knife throwing matches consist of 10 throws. League members are scored individually. In the first seven weeks, league members play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score to determine their ranking for the final tournament. Participants in the Knife Throwing League Should have prior knife throwing experience. All knifes will be provided and must be approved prior to starting league.

Doubles League: Recreation League

Tuesday 7pm-9pm- Must have a minimum of 6 teams to activate league

6 weeks – 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10

$150 (tax included) per team – Payment is due by the first league session.

Each doubles team consists of 2 players (of any gender combination). The league must consist of at least 6 teams in order to operate. When there is an odd number of teams, one team will play a house team.

LEAGUE RULES: Each league session consists of 30 minutes of practice and 1.5 hours of league play. Each team plays 3 matches per night. Two teams are paired to compete against each other. The pairings will rotate throughout the season. One player from each team will complete a match against one another. Then, the second players from each team will complete a match and scores from both matches are totaled to determine the overall winner.

SCORING: Points are calculated based on WATL scoring standards. For each match, the team with the higher total score is considered the winner. If a tie should occur, each team will select 1 player to compete in the tie-breaker. The tie-breaker is one attempt at the kill-shot. The player closest to the kill-shot is the winner. Teams will be ranked by their total number of wins. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the team with the higher total score is considered the winner.

ATTENDANCE: In the event that a league member cannot attend a scheduled session, the member should contact Adirondack Axe to schedule a makeup against a house team. If a league member does not schedule a makeup session, they forfeit their matches and receive a 0 for that session. The team that would have been paired with the missing team plays a house team.
